Run Amuck 5K Timed Group Run
6:00 pm. Note the change in date! Join us for a free timed 5K Run in downtown Bristol. This run is part of the Bristol Half & Half Marathon Training Program and everyone is welcome to join us for this run around downtown Bristol. After the run, we'll "hop" into Elderbrew for some of our favorite beverages. We're dusting off our timing equipment for a test run before the racing season starts. Feel free to pre-register for this event so we can assign you a bib number, however, there is no fee to run in this event. Since this is a fun run the roads will NOT be closed. Participants will need to be aware of their surroundings, stay on sidewalks and obey traffic laws.

    Ta-Pa-Win-Go Joy Run
Time TBA. 2nd Annual race starting and finishing at Camp Ta-Pa-Win-Go, which is a Cherokee word meaning “Place of Joy” on a hill. Great race and very fun activities planned for the annual open house, including a zip line! We are a non-denominational Bible camp in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains of East Tennessee. Ta-Pa-Win-Go is owned and operated by Children's Bible Ministries. Since 1948, Camp Ta-Pa-Win-Go has been impacting the lives of countless children and teens in east Tennessee! Each year, the number of campers we serve continues to grow, presenting the need for new activities. Our desire is to get the community involved as we raise funds for our project that will benefit our children.
The 3.1 mile race will begin on camp property and out the front gate. This course is mostly pavement. There are a few hills and one challenging uphill section. Amenities: After the race, participants may want to cool off in the pool or zip down the zip line. Also, there will be a bounce house!. In addition, there will be food, snacks and water.

6:30 pm 10K Start. 6:00 Early start for those who need more than 1h 30m. This is a FREE run presented by We Run Events. All we ask is that you bring a bag of pet food as your "entry fee," which we will donate to local animal shelters. It's the Summer Soltice so let's make the year's longest day something to remember! This is a very unique 10K run starting and finishing at the top of South Holston Dam. Take on breathtaking views of S. Holston Lake as we run from S. Holston Dam to Weir Dam, around the beautiful Osceola Island Trail, and back to top of S. Holston Dam. Save something for the challenging final 1-mile climb! The run will start at 6:30 pm at the top of South Holston Dam, Bristol, TN. Please arrive as early as possible so we can get started on time. We have a time limit of 1h 30m so we can be out before the park closes, however feel free to start early if you think it will take longer. 6:00 early start (or whenever you want to get going!). The run is timed, but please understand that this is a group run (not a race), and no awards will be given. We will have a digital clock and kiosks where you can check your time when you finish the run. The roads will not be closed to vehicular traffic so please be careful on the roads. Parking is extremely limited so please plan accordingly. Carpool if possible and/or park at Weir Dam and ride with others to the top of S. Holston Dam. Post-run pizza and goodies.
