Girls on the Run 5K
The Girls on the Run 5K is open to everyone! The race starts and ends at ETSU's Thomas Stadium. Race start is 9am. All proceeds benefit Girls on the Run of Northeast Tennessee.

    FPS is hosting the 3nd Annual Santa Run/Walk 5k & Kids 1 Mile Reindeer Run at Norton Elementary and Middle School in Norton, VA on Saturday December 3, 2016. FPS is very excited about this event to help purchase Christmas presents for underprivileged children in Wise Co/Norton City! Registration begins at 8:00 am that morning, event will kick off at 9:30 am with a Reindeer Kids 1 Run for children ages 12 and under followed by a 5k Santa Run at 10am. Participants of the races are asked to bring a DONATED NEW TOY on race day. **Pre-register for the race by November 20th to be guaranteed a Santa shirt. Event will include Santa shirts and hats for participants, jingle bells to run with, Christmas music, and an appearance from Santa! Thank you for participating in our race, but most importantly thank you for helping the kids on our community have a great Christmas:)

    4th Annual Girls Inc. of Bristol Snowman Stampede
    Join Girls Incorporated of Bristol on Saturday, December 10th at 10:00 a.m. for the 4th Annual Snowman Stampede 5K at Sugar Hollow Park!

    Bring your friends, family, and dogs to run or walk your way through a 3.1 mile course that will end with hot chocolate by a fire! Medals will be awarded for the top male and female finishers in six age groups.

    Register by mail or in-person at Girls Incorporated of Bristol (613 Highland Avenue, Bristol, VA 24201). Pre-registration will end Friday, November 18th, and all participants registered by that date will receive a long sleeve t-shirt and goody bag.

    The Early Learning Center at First United Methodist Church is again hosting a 5K run/walk. USATF-certified Course through the historic Johnson City tree streets.

    BACKPACK 5K
    We are more than thrilled to be hosting our 2nd BACKPACK 5K on December 10th. We will also have a fun run for the younger ones that just can't withstand the 5k distance! Feel free to wear your favorite Christmas attire and running shoes! All procedes will benefit the BackPack Program at Chilhowie Christian Church that feeds over 300 children in eight different schools on the weekends! Join We Run Events and Fleet Feet Kingsport for a free 8K run through the beautiful Fairacres residential neighborhood. We will ooh and ahh over the Christmas lights on display. Remember, this is a fun run so streets will not be blocked and traffic will be allowed on the course, so please be careful.     Sign in and day of registration will be at Crossroads Christian Church. The 5k will be on Daniel Boone High School's Cross Country Course. Then we will all head back to the warmth of Crossroads Christian Church and enjoy pancakes, awards and door prizes. 100% of funds raised will go to assist individuals with disabilities and their families with needed expenses for home modifications, special equipment, medical copays and deductibles and any other extra expenses that may occur.

    Deerslayer 2017 5k Obstacle Course Race and Deerslayer Kids 1K OCR
    8am Deerslayer Kids 1K OCR and 9am Deerslayer 5K OCRCourse: 5K mixed terrain, paved/unpaved areas over hilly forested areas and open fields. Tire Flip, Water Slide, Multi Walls, Bucket Brigade, Rope Climb, Balance Beam and at least 14 more.
    Two Participant Levels: Competitive and Just For Fun. Competitive racers must complete the course and All obstacles. Competitive racers will compete for Cash Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the Overall Male and Female category as well as 1st in Masters (40-49), Grandmasters(50-59 and Senior Grandmasters (60+) groupings. For Fun: For Fun racers can try or pass the obstacles. We suggest 3-5 friends work as a team to get overunder and through the obstacles. Prizes will be awarded for Best Costume, Best Team Costume, and Best Team Spirit. All racers receive an Event t-shirt and medal Racers competitive and for fun must be 15 years of age or older. Proof of age required at Packet Pickup and Race Day Sign-in. All waivers, including parental consent, must be signed prior to race. This race benefits Long View Ranch. Long View Ranch is a non-profit christian summer camp and retreat center in Greene County TN. It's the Summer Soltice so let's make the year's longest day something to remember! This is a very unique 10K run starting and finishing at the top of South Holston Dam. Take on breathtaking views of S. Holston Lake as we run from S. Holston Dam to Weir Dam, around the beautiful Osceola Island Trail, and back to top of S. Holston Dam. Save something for the challenging final 1-mile climb! We are putting a time limit of 1h 30m on the 10K, however feel free to start early if you think it will take longer.

    St. Jude 5K Run/Walk to End Childhood Cancer
    8:30 am. Pinnacle Shopping Center, Bristol. Pre-race packet pickup Friday, 9/29 3:30-7pm, Uncle Bucks, Saturday, 9/24 7am-8:15am. New run/walk to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Event will start and finish at Dick's Sporting Goods at the Pinnacle Shopping Center and run essentially the same course as the Pinnacle 5K. Course should be fairly flat and pretty fast! Be part of the nationwide St. Jude Walk/Run all on the same day across the country!

    5K Nature Walk will start shortly after the Half Marathon, 5K start.
    Beautiful course on grounds of Holston Army Ammunition Plant with no traffic through the wooded grounds on paved roads that you will share with wildlife. Pets, bicycles, skateboards, and roller blades, are strictly prohibited on the course. Baby joggers and strollers allowed on the 5K course only. 3 hr time limit on the half marathon course.
