State of Franklin Track Club Summer Track Meet #3
Track Meet will be at Daniel Boone HS from 6:30-8:30pm. This meet is free and open to the public.

Registration starts at 6:00 pm. All participants under 18, must have their entry forms signed by their parent or guardian.
Adult Events- 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1 mile
Youth Events- 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1 mile, 100m hurdles, long jump
For youth interested in a training program see www.tricitiesyouthathletics.org for more information.

The kids mile is part of the SFTC Kids Festival of Miles Series. The adult (open) mile is part of the SFTC Adult Mile Series.

    The Independence Day 5K race is part of a larger initiative to promote an active and healthy lifestyle in the community. The Independence Day 5K is on Saturday, June 30th in Dungannon. The run begins at 8:00 a.m., with participants running a well-marked course on the roads through town
    and includes views of the surrounding mountains and the Clinch River. This inaugural race has the dual purpose of celebrating Dungannon's 100th Anniversary.

    9th ANNUAL RED, WHITE, & BOOM! 4 MILE RUN AND PANCAKE BREAKFAST
    8:00am start time. Beat the heat; stay for an awesome Free pancake breakfast for you and the family; catch the parade; and all for a good cause. Presented by Fleet Feet Sports and First Broad Street United Methodist Church, this race will start and finish at the church, still in downtown Kingsport. Finish the race; stay for pancakes; and then take the family to the parade that same morning. Kingsport Community Ministry Center (KCMC) will benefit from a portion of the proceeds. Winding through the State Park, participants will encounter plenty of rocks, roots, and climbing to test their grit. XTERRA Panther Creek will take participants through the landscape and rugged hills of East Tennessee while exploring this magnificent park.

    Dog Days Of Summer Mile
    6:00 pm. Brand new race! 1 mile run or walk for humans and their best furry friends. Start at Boyce Cox Field home of the Bristol Pirates and finish the mile by running the bases in the ballpark. Then stick around for Bark in the Ballpark. Dogs will be welcome at the baseball game afterwards. Your entry will get you a cool baseball theme shirt, a great timed mile race and entry into the game. Run or walk. The event will be timed if you are looking for a fast mile.
    The mile will also be part of the State of Franklin Track Club Adult Mile Series and Kid's Festival Of Miles.
    The race will benefit the Emergency Mgmt Division of the Bristol VA Fire Dept to purchase supplies for its new Pet Shelter Support Trailer where animals will be housed in the event of an emergency evacuation situation. The trailer will be available to assist in emergencies all over the region.

    8:00 am Kid's Half Mile Run. 8:30 am 5K. Fun event! Course will start and finish at Johnny Brusco's and will run entirely on the property of The Pinnacle Shopping Center. Run by all the major shops and Bass Pro Shop. Window shopping only during the run :-). Course is mildly rolling and should be pretty fast. Fantastic post-race brunch courtesy of Johnny Brusco's!

    8pm. Very fun night race with glow Sticks, glow shirts, and glow necklaces, with a street dance waiting for you at the finish line. This year everyone will be timed! This is a point to point course from David Crockett High School to the front steps of the old courthouse in downtown Jonesborough. You should park at the start area (David Crockett High School) as there is limited parking in downtown Jonesborough. Shuttles will run for 1hr after the completion of the race...from downtown (post office/fire station) back to the school... Proceeds benefit the athletic programs at David Crockett High School.

    20th Annual Trojan Trek is held at beautiful Panther Creek State Park in Morristown TN. The event is only 35 miles northeast of Knoxville TN


    If this is your first trail race or just one of many, you will enjoy the challenging course and the after party is full of fun. The awards ceremony will immediately follow the race. Refreshments will be available and the park pool will be open to cool off during the awards.

    Nolichucky Triple Threat - Whitewater Raft + Obstacle Course + 5K Run
    3:00 pm. The Triple Threat starts at USA Raft on the whitewaters of the Nolichucky River with a trek down the Noli, where participants will emerge on a sandy beach where the timing portion of the event will begin. The second stage is an obstacle challenge course with many obstacles, including sand crawl, water wall, balance beam, and more. The 3rd stage is a 5K Run back to USA Raft. For the final stretch of the 5K, you will run 3/4 mile on the Appalachian Trail and complete one last obstacle before crossing the finish line!
    If you are a newbie to the sport of watercrafting, USA Raft will be offering free "Water 101" lessons prior to the race. Arrive around 1pm. Optional: If you do not feel comfortable on the water, you can ride a trail bike to the start of the Obstacle Course.
    The timing portion of the race starts when you exit the water and cross the timing mats at the start of the Obstacle Course.

    The 3nd Annual Run for the Dogs 5K race registration and start are behind Knights Pizza west of roundabout at Jack Vest & Go Bucs Trail. Mountain Empire Chapter of Military Officers Associations of America (MECMOAA) and Student Veterans Association (SVA) Chapter of ETSU are sponsoring this race in support of placing a professionally-trained service dog with a veteran to mitigate the effects of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury, and/or Military Sexual Trauma. Early registration (by August 28th) guarantees you a commemorative event t-shirt; late registration does not guarantee you a shirt, but we will do our best to accommodate you.

    Goliath at the Gorge
    Northeast Tennessee's TOUGHEST race is Saturday, October 20, 2018. The Goliath at the Gorge offers 10k, 5k & kid's race options. The 5k & 10k courses consist of steep inclines, over 15 obstacles, river crossings, water and mud challenges. Please come prepared to get muddy, wet, sandy and tired. Lodging & showers available for an additional fee. Doe River Gorge's Open House will take place this weekend as well with music, food and train rides through the Gorge. Special Awards for the top male and female DRG current/former staffers. Showers, Gear Check and supplies available for an additional donation. Proceeds from items go to Camp Scholarships for under resourced kids.

    5K Nature Walk will start shortly after the Half Marathon, 5K start.
    Beautiful course on grounds of Holston Army Ammunition Plant with no traffic through the wooded grounds on paved roads that you will share with wildlife. Pets, bicycles, skateboards, and roller blades, are strictly prohibited on the course. Baby joggers and strollers allowed on the 5K course only. 3 hr time limit on the half marathon course.     YWCA Women's Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk
    8am. The Turkey Trot is an event hosted by the YWCA Women's Fitness Center that encourages women to achieve their fitness goals. It is the longest running women's 5K in the Tri-Cities that features joggers and walkers of all skill levels. Every year, the YW cheers on first-time participants and veteran runners who achieve a new personal best. The race route is certified by USA Track and Field.
